The 20th Century was an exciting time for discovery, innovation and accomplishments. 
The advent of new technologies of communication: the mass circulation of newspapers and national advertising campaigns, plus the invention of the telephone and innovations for the home.
This was the age of commercialized entertainment, modern sports such as football, basketball, bicycling, golf. New transportation: the automobile, expansion of the railway and the airplane.
In this lesson students learn through online newspapers and interactive activities e.g. KWL chart, Word Scramble, Innovations worksheet, Name and Match the Innovations, and a Word Search will learn how these creative innovations changed the way we live, filled us with wonder and amazement and gave us hope for a better future!
