Overview
The student will examine the causes that lead to the Texas Revolution through a teacher guided discussion using a PowerPoint presentation. This activity provides a comprehensive overview of all events leading to the Texas Revolution (as specified by the TEKS) and can be used as an independent activity or in conjunction with the graphic organizer, Austin Letter to the Fredonia Rebels, and Articles of the Law of April 6, 1830 provided below.

- Explain the lasting impact of the people and events leading to the Texas Revolution.
- In what ways did the Mier y Teran Report and the Law of April 6, 1830 lead to the Texas Revolution?
